Pensions Executive

Suzy is a member of the Pensions Executive Team, providing governance and scheme secretarial services. The governance services include value for member assessments, provider reviews, trustee effectiveness, trustee TKU reviews and more.

Prior to joining the team she worked as a scheme secretary for four years undertaking all day-to-day tasks relating to governance and scheme secretarial across numerous pensions schemes. Suzy had previously been an account manager at a third party consultancy firm which is where she developed her extensive technical knowledge.

Current appointments

  • Scheme secretarial duties to three sole trustee schemes with assets ranging from £8m to £71m
  • Minute secretary support to a Corporate Trustee with assets of c£800m
  • Minute secretary support to an investment sub-committee of a Scheme with assets of c£650m
  • A range of projects, including a buy-in and a major investment re-structuring transition, provider reviews and Value for Member assessments
  • General Data Protection Regulations compliance projects

Areas of expertise

As a governance professional and experienced scheme secretary  Suzy:

  • Works closely with all scheme advisors to ensure regulatory and trustee requirements are met
  • Provides secretarial and trustee services to schemes of all sizes
  • Deals diplomatically and professionally with high profile trustee directors and their advisors
  • Delivers trustee support and governance services to pension schemes by:
    • organising all aspects of quarterly trustee board meetings and sub-committee meetings including logistics, writing papers and producing meeting packs; taking and finalising meeting minutes
    • ensuring all scheme advisors are completing their respective actions and duties in relation to the scheme and providing the required services to a high standard and within budget
    • ensuring advisors are kept up to date on issues under their remit
    • organising trustee training days
    • involvement in drafting, editing and circulating member communication
